Summer 2017-Field Sketching Class!

Here’s a great summer class (fee-based) that’s always an exceptional experience for anyone interested in developing free-hand drawing skills.

LANHT899 – Landscape Sketching in the Field
Instructor: Chris Grampp
4 weeks, 8 sessions, $200 fee

DESCRIPTION:  Each day we’ll meet at a nearby Bay Area location to sketch the landscape. Our objectives will vary from class to class: line and tone, shade and shadow, color, quick layout strategies, gesture, drawing plants and landscape materials, and more.  We’ll do a sketch each morning and review our work at lunch, and do another sketch and review in the afternoon.  By the end of the course you will have done around 16-20 landscape sketches, experimented with a variety of drawing techniques and approaches, had the opportunity to see your classmate’s work, and visited some interesting local places you might otherwise miss.

Everyone is welcome in this class regardless of experience!
